Who are we
We are a specialist care provider established in 2012 to support individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. We were founded by experienced professionals who believe people deserve meaningful lives beyond restrictive or institutional settings.
We deliver person-centred supported living services, tailored to each individuals needs, goals and aspirations. Our support focuses on promoting choice, dignity and independence, enabling people to live within their communities.

This service offers 5 self contained fully furnished flat, set across two floors, to provide a home to both men and women of all ages.
The Wirral
This service offers 9 self contained fully furnished flats, set across three floors, to provide a home to both men and women of all ages.
Wakefield
This service offers 12 self contained fully furnished flats, set across two floors, to provide a home for both men and women of all ages.

Although I am sad that my son lives 40 miles away from me and I miss him. The support he receives from 1st Enable perfectly meets his needs. Activities which interest my son are suggested and tried. He is always central to his care – his wishes and needs are always respected. Visits home and on holiday with myself take place with ease due to staff support. They help him to transition mentally both going and coming back. Which he particularly struggles with. I feel reassured, even when he gets upset, that he will be looked after and will settle in quickly again. He actually says when he is away that he “misses the staff”. This is absolutely where he needs to be, and it makes me feel reassured.

GW’s Story
GW has been living in supported living for almost 3 years now. They enjoy going to the cinema, bowling, playing the piano and playing golf, which is his biggest passion. One thing that GW is particularly proud of achieving since joining us is going to church, where he has joined a music group, which allows him to play the piano every weekend. Gw has came along way since joining us and has made huge steps with his confidence and independence, even rediscovering his love for swimming again, which has been great to see.
