Although I am sad that my son lives 40 miles away from me and I miss him. The support he receives from 1st Enable perfectly meets his needs. Activities which interest my son are suggested and tried. He is always central to his care – his wishes and needs are always respected. Visits home and on holiday with myself take place with ease due to staff support. They help him to transition mentally both going and coming back. Which he particularly struggles with. I feel reassured, even when he gets upset, that he will be looked after and will settle in quickly again. He actually says when he is away that he “misses the staff”.
